Banana frita (Fried banana)

 

In Brazil, there are many kinds of bananas like "banana-nanica" (small/dwarf banana), "banana-maçã" (apple banana), "banana-prata" (silver banana), etc.

Ingredientes: Ingredients:
2 bananas maduras 2 ripe bananas
2 colheres de chá de manteiga 2 teaspoons of butter
canela e açúcar a gosto cinnamon and sugar to taste
Modo de fazer: Preparation:
1. Descaque as bananas. 1. Peel the bananas.
2. Derreta a manteiga numa frigideira antiaderente. 2. Heat the butter in a non-stick frying pan.
3. Adicione as bananas e frite-as dos dois lados. 3. Add the bananas and fry them on both sides.
4. Coloque as bananas num prato. 4. Put the bananas on a plate.
5. Polvilhe as bananas com canela e açúcar a gosto. 5. Sprinkle the bananas with cinnamon and sugar to taste.

Remarks:

  • If you wish, you can add honey and raisins to the bananas when frying them.
  • Fried bananas go well with vanilla ice cream and whipping cream.
  • Brazilians also eat fried bananas with a meal, but the bananas are coated with egg and breadcrumbs.
