Creme de papaia (Papaya cream)

 

 "Creme de papaia"  is very easy and quick to prepare.

Ingredientes: Ingredients:
1 mamão pequeno e bem maduro 1 small ripe papaya

2-3 colheres de sorvete de baunilha

2-3 tablespoons of vanilla ice cream

1-2 colheres de licor de cassis (opcional) 1-2 tablespoons of cassis liqueur (optional)
Modo de fazer: Preparation:
1. Lave o mamão. 1. Wash the papaya.
2. Corte o mamão no meio e tire as sementes com uma colher. 2. Cut the papaya into two halves and scoop out the seeds.
3. Descasque o mamão. 3. Peel the papaya.
4. Pique o mamão em pedaços. 4. Cut the papaya into pieces.  
5. Coloque o mamão no liquidificador. 5. Put the papaya in the blender.
6. Adicione o sorvete de baunilha e o licor de cassis. 6. Add the ice cream and the cassis liqueur.
7. Bata todos os ingredientes e sirva. 7. Blend all the ingredients and serve it.

Remarks:

  • This recipe makes 2-3 portions of papaya cream.
  • Prepare this recipe right before serving.
  • If the papaya is not ripe when you buy it, wrap it in a napkin and keep it in plastic bag at room temperature for a few days. After this, the papaya should be slightly soft to the touch and have turned yellow.
