Mandioca frita (Fried manioc)

 

 Manioc is usually treated with paraffin wax to keep it fresh.

2 mandiocas 2 maniocs
água water
sal salt
óleo para fritar oil for deep-frying
Modo de fazer: Preparation:
1. Descasque a mandioca. 1. Peel the manioc.
2. Corte a mandioca em tiras. 2. Cut the manioc into strips.
3. Lave a mandioca. 3. Wash the manioc.
4. Cozinhe a mandioca com água e sal. 4. Cook the manioc with water and salt.
5. Escorra a água e deixe esfriar. 5. Drain the water and let it cool down.
6. Esquente o óleo numa frigideira ou panela. 6. Heat the oil in a frying or sauce pan.
7. Adicione a mandioca. 7. Add the manioc.
8. Frite mandioca em fogo médio até dourar. 8. Fry the manioc in medium heat until golden brown.
9. Coloque a mandioca numa toalha de papel. 9. Put the manioc on a paper towel.
10Adicione sal e sirva a mandioca imediatamente. 10. Add salt and serve the manioc immediately.
