1. General Overview

In Portuguese, adjectives, also nationalities and colors, can be either masculine or feminine (bonito/bonita - nice), singular or plural (bonito(s)/bonita(s) - nice).
The noun and the adjective must always be in agreement. Adjectives are usually placed after a noun. However, certain adjectives are sometimes placed before a noun and often, the position of an adjective alters the sense of the phrase.
